Shikhi Silk Saree with Peacock Border

This Kanchipuram heritage silk saree has a lustrous satin border woven with peacocks, flowers and trailing vines. Two peacocks with long, patterned tails anchor the wide border, while small birds perch among the blooms, framed by narrow lacework bands above and below. Small flower buttas are placed across the body, leaving the field calm and open. The satin finish catches the light with a soft sheen and the saree falls in smooth, easy folds, ending in a rich pallu with tassels. Pair it with gold or antique temple jewellery and a simple bun with fresh flowers. Wear it to a wedding, a festive dinner, an engagement or a pooja, or give it to someone who loves traditional weaves.
