Mayank Vastram is run out of our own manufacturing workshop in Bengaluru. Every saree you see here is designed and made on our own looms — not bought wholesale and marked up.

We’re a small, family-run manufacturing business, not a marketplace reseller. That shapes how we price, how we check quality, and how we treat a return — here’s what that actually means.
Direct from the manufacturer
We make every saree ourselves and sell it straight to you online, cutting out the trader-wholesaler-retailer chain that adds a markup at every step.
Honest pricing
A GST invoice on every order and pricing based on what it actually costs to make a saree — not a showroom mark-up.
Quality we control ourselves
Because we manufacture every piece in-house, we inspect it ourselves before it ships — we're not relying on a supplier's word for it.

How a Mayank Vastram saree is made
From yarn to your doorstep, every step happens at our own workshop — here’s the actual process, not a marketing version of it.
Step 1
Sourcing the yarn
We source and inspect silk and zari yarn before it ever goes on a loom.
Step 2
Dyeing
Yarn is dyed in batches to each season's colours — a little natural shade variation between batches is normal, the same way it is for any dyed textile.
Step 3
Weaving, on our own looms
The saree takes shape at our Bengaluru workshop, on looms we own and run ourselves — not a job sent out to a third party.
Step 4
Finishing & quality check
Every saree is checked by hand before it's approved to sell — stray threads trimmed, the zari border checked, the weave inspected end to end.
Step 5
Packed & shipped, direct to you
No distributor, no showroom in between — your order ships straight from our workshop to your door.
Handloom or powerloom?
We manufacture on modern powerlooms, not handloom. We’d rather tell you that plainly than let you assume otherwise — it’s what lets us keep quality consistent and pricing fair, without pretending to be something we’re not. What doesn’t change: we design and produce every saree ourselves, at our own workshop, and sell it to you directly.
Why we can price it honestly
Most sarees pass through two or three layers of traders and retailers before reaching a customer — each one adding their own margin. We cut that chain entirely. Because we manufacture the sarees ourselves and sell them directly to you online, there’s no middleman markup to pass on — just a fair price for a genuine silk saree, straight from the loom.
