Mayil Bottle Green Peacock Silk Saree

This bottle green soft silk saree is lined with fine vertical gold-toned stripes and a gold peacock butta at the centre. Below it, the pallu turns to a soft mauve-pink crossed by close horizontal lines and edged with a narrow wine band. Twisted magenta tassels finish the end. The soft silk has a gentle fall and an easy drape, so the pleats sit neatly. Antique gold jewellery or a simple pearl set stands out well against the deep green, and a plain wine blouse would echo the pallu. Woven on our own looms in Bengaluru, it is easy to wear to a wedding lunch, a festive gathering or a pooja, and just as easy to give as a gift.
